Why a golf safari

The bush empties you out. The game fills you back up.

Dawn belongs to the wild — the drives, the silence, the day with no decisions. Afternoon belongs to the round, the caddie, the sundowner. Together they do something neither manages alone.

Golfers and the Gallery travel as one party: while you play, the non-golfers take the spa, the vineyard or another drive — and often come home the happiest of all.

★★★★★

Teeing off at Leopard Creek with the Crocodile River below and elephants on the far bank is something I'll never top. Every transfer, every tee time, every game drive without a single hiccup.

The balance of golf and safari was judged perfectly. Watching the wildebeest on the Mara at dawn after a morning on the course is the memory that's stayed with me. Faultless from start to finish.

They built the itinerary around exactly what my wife and I wanted. Playing with Kilimanjaro in the background was surreal, and the Ngorongoro Crater exceeded every expectation.

Who we are

Graeme & Shelagh Harker

Two Africans, more than sixty years in travel between them, a 4x4, a trailer, and a set of golf clubs that has seen ten countries' worth of first tees. We recommend nothing we haven't lived.

Giving back

One per cent of every journey supports the communities that host us.

Through iThemba Projects in Sweetwaters and community work in Knysna, a share of every Africa Golf Safari journey goes back into education and conservation on the ground. We'll show you the work, not just the logo.

Tell us how you want to feel when you come home.

We'll build the wild, and the golf, around that — and nothing else.
